Over the course of this school year, I have implemented some flexible seating options in my 1st grade classroom. Although I have some options, I need more! I have collected flexible seating options using my own budget and resources. Flexible seating allows my 1st graders to take control of where they feel they can do their very best work. This also helps to build their independence during our work time in the classroom. This school year, my students have chosen to work in their own area in the classroom. By having more flexible seating options, I feel that my classroom will become a better place for learning. The Wobble Chairs and Wobble Cushions will help those students that need more movement in their bodies during seated work time in the classroom. The assorted metal stools will help students during guided reading time be more comfortable to do their very best reading! Not every student learns the best in the same kind of seat. The Portable Laptop tables will be awesome for my 1st graders to explore technology and be comfortable in a different part of the classroom.
