My students love listening to stories and being read to each day during our literacy block. With this project I am ready to light up the fire with my students and their reading by being able to provide them with Amazon Fire Tablets so they can listen to more digital books online. This will give them exposure to a larger variety of genres of books. They will also be able to practice reading and building their comprehension skills as they work independently with the kindles each day. Many of my students do not get a lot of exposure to technology on a daily basis and these fire tablets will allow me to help expose my students to 21st century skills and digital learning at the same time. It's important for my students to have this experience with reading so they continue to grow their love of reading each day. Reading is a skill that is needed all throughout their life so they will have a strong foundation in literacy, comprehension and analyzing text. I am so excited to embark on the journey with my 1st Donors Choose project! Please consider supporting me on my journey as I light a fire in reading with Amazon Fire Tablets!
