Research shows that students in classrooms where flexible seating is an option, have more positive academic and social/emotional experiences. I've seen my students feel empowered when they have a choice and control over their learning environment. Flexible seating encourages students to identify spaces where they can relax, focus, and be productive. My classroom is a diverse mix of gifted, learning challenged, high-energy, enthusiastic learners who deserve the opportunity to move around their classroom and collaborate with their peers. With your donations, our class will receive additional seating options that will engage not only one group of learners, but many in the years to come.
