Students need to be well and healthy in order to learn effectively. Learning when and how to wash hands properly will greatly reduce school absences. Through this hands on activity, students will visibly see how well a job, or not a well job, he or she is doing in washing their hands. Many students, especially elementary age, have never been taught proper hand washing. With the Glo Germ students can see areas where hand washing efforts need more attention. Along with this activity, students will also be taught when and how often hands should be washed with soap and water.
