The state of Louisiana has just adopted Next Generation Science Standards. These standards require teachers and students to approach science from a different perspective than what we're used to. In order to utilize the process effectively, students will need to enhance their learning through research online and with digital resources. Our school lacks enough technology to reach all students on a daily basis; but as a biology teacher (whose kids are tested yearly and whose scores make an impact on our school's performance score) I feel like they deserve the materials to give them the best possible chance at success. I am trying to obtain 16 Fire 7 Tablets, and protective cases, so that my students can work in pairs to do research and access digital material online.
