We currently have two of the flex-space comfy floor seats, and the students all want to use them. We are up and moving frequently throughout the day as third graders have a high amount of energy! They look forward to using the comfortable chairs for reading independently, or collaborating with others in various subject areas. When the students are comfortable, they are much more focused. Increasing the number of these chairs would allow for so many more students to have the same opportunity. I definitely see a noticeable improvement in classroom engagement when the students are using the flexible seating. They enjoy being able to choose a location in the classroom to read, complete writing, and do partner work. The chairs are lightweight, adjustable as there are three different settings, and are made with microfiber covers that are removable and machine washable! The balance balls help reduce restlessness as the students can move while sitting on them.
