By acquiring Chromebooks for my classroom, students will be able to access resources such as Google Classroom, where all curricular assignments are posted, check their online grades to self-monitor progress and set individual goals to improve their mathematical achievement. Students will be able to leverage Google apps for education to collect, analyses and make informed decisions as it relates to real-world data. Students can design multi-media presentations to demonstrate mathematical thinking, as part of project-based collaborative assessments. Chromebooks will allow differentiated workstations within a single classroom setting. Through leveling technology, I will be able to utilize varied teaching strategies to reinforce real-world application of math concepts and meet students unique learning needs. This varied approach will improve student engagement and retention of the content.
