My students do not have access to many interesting books. Our school library is very small and students often have trouble finding books of interest, causing many to give up on reading. These books will inspire a love of reading on their own. These books are at their level and full of wonder and adventure. Some of the books, such as the Percy Jackson series, will be read aloud in class to spark their interest. Our reading book includes snippets of longer books such as Old Yeller and Black Stallion. These books will give students the opportunity to continue reading the entire book when their interest is sparked.
