Students will listen to music and compose dance steps using 2 or 3 motifs taught first. Students will collaborate to give each person a special dance role and then write a poem about their experience. Students will learn collaboration, communication, and literacy skills while experiencing movement, exercise, and developing pride in creating something, and sharing their work with each other. Our students love performing arts and we do not have a full time dance or drama teacher, so this opportunity for a dance teacher to come work with them is very needed and the students are so looking forward to it!
