The environment is an important part of our classroom and is considered the third teacher. Making a seamless transition from one space to the next will assist in decreasing anxiety, distractions, and increase learning. New carpets and flat sheets to be transformed into curtains and covers with have a immense impact in providing new life and flow for the classroom environment. Students with and without sensory needs will be able to engage in activities with limited distractions and comfort throughout the room. The addition of the calming purple color in the room will ensure that students are not over-stimulated as we participate in classroom family activities.
