My students need a comfy area for reading in the classroom. Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent and partner reading times they can sit in the bean bag seats, on the rug, or under the leaves. For those students who need to release their energy once in a while, they can make use of the hopscotch rug and have a little bit of fun. The rotating caddy will be used for students to take notes or write book reports during reading. The bulletin board storage bag will be used to store big books, reading posters and anchor charts that reflect the discussions we have during our mini-lessons. The donations to this project will help my students become more engaged in reading. By implementing the Reader's Workshop model, my students will begin to see themselves as independent learners. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long readers. As the teacher, I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
