I strive to have a variety of books available for my students to read. I believe it's important for them to have access to fiction and nonfiction books that are not only at their reading level, but also are engaging topics. That's why I am choosing Guided Reading Collections from Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 in fiction and nonfiction. These new books will give my students more options when picking out books (at their level) to read during independent reading time or free time. My students have the potential to become great readers and these new books will help foster a love of reading. By being able to choose books that interest them at their level, students will plant the reading seed that will continue to grow after every engaging book they read.
