A large number of my students live in low-income housing. They do not have the luxury of owning a washing machine and dryer. We often have back to back days of baseball/softball/basketball games. My students wear the same dirty uniforms day in and day out. They do not have time during the week to go to a laundromat. Their families usually do laundry once a week, if that. When we show up to games with dirty uniforms before a game even starts, it gives my players very low self esteem and overall morale. Every team in our school will benefit from this donation.
