My students sometimes find it difficult to express their feelings verbally. Painting allows them the freedom to place their thoughts and experiences on paper. It gives them the opportunity to convey what may be difficult to express in words. This is especially important for younger children and for those who have experienced trauma. As their social worker, their paintings help me to better understand their emotional experiences, thus allowing me to help them work through traumas. Your donation of this painting easel will help me to bring comfort to our students at our elementary school and better equip me to meet their emotional and behavioral needs.
