Currently, over 50% of our students have free/reduced lunches. In our rural community, many of our students do not have access to technology at home. This puts them at a disadvantage as I try to prepare them academically and create productive members of society. Chromebooks will give students the 21st century tools they need for college and/or career readiness. I currently only have two computers that are outdated, barely run Windows 7, and turn off randomly throughout the day. The students love technology but I'm unable to incorporate the use of technology in the classroom due to the lack of resources. I plan to use the Chromebooks daily during small groups and to assist with enrichment and intervention.
