To me, my students are my world! I am a first year teacher, going on second, working at a Title I school. Our entire school receives free breakfast and lunch. My students come into class everyday with smiles on their faces excited and eager. No matter their home situation, or what they have gone through the night before, it doesn't stop their imagination and dreams and they greet each other every morning. Our classroom is our happy and safe place. Each morning we spend our first half an hour working on our social and emotional skills. We talk about our morning and how we feel. We have made huge gains in this area and are continuing to better ourselves each and every day. In our classroom we are truly one big family as we push each other and hold each other accountable. My students have a burning desire to learn that is evident. I am so thankful that I was chosen to be their special education teacher.
