My student love to read stories. We read stories throughout the day. I want them to be able to independently go to the reading area and listen to a book with a friend. Adding a listening center to my classroom will help them not only become better readers, but develop a sense of independence. I want my students to be able to say "I can do it myself!". It is my goal as an educator to instill a desire to become a lifetime reader. Whether to gain knowledge, go on an adventure or drift away in fantasy for a while. Reading can be fun!
