Because I have students with different needs, there are times that noise can be distracting to some students. The noise reduction headphones will allow the students to reduce sensory input while still being able to hear directions. These will be used both in the calm down area of the room and during work times when students need a quieter environment. The headphones and the rug will be used in the calm down area along with a bean bag chair to allow students to have a comfortable spot. This will allow my students to take necessary breaks before coming back to the group to contribute.
