My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. I would love my students to read more non-fiction as this will help them academically. I would like to have books that will hold their interests and keep them reading in my classroom. As my third graders prepare to take the state-mandated test this year for the first time, I believe that if they have an inviting classroom library, it helps increase their reading endurance. I would like books for my struggling readers as well as my advanced readers. If I had an inviting classroom with an array of books that students enjoy, they would look forward to reading. This will help them rock their test in April!
