My students are just finding out what interests them. They are on the verge of becoming amazing readers. With these books, they will become avid readers. Some of my students have never left the block they live on. By reading an issue of Scholastic News, they can learn about the world around them, and become stronger at reading comprehension. Cynthia Rylant is such a fun and witty author. I love doing a read- aloud so the students can have book club conversations about the text after listening to a wonderful story. The books I have chosen will enhance my library so that students have more books that are interesting and accessible.
