Flexible seating is a great way for students to be in charge of their own learning. As a first year teacher, my students will not have many options to choose from in my classroom. Right now, they only have tables with a couple stools and regular chairs. I would like to provide my students with a variety of options to choose from including wobble stools, a high top table, wobble cushions, floor pillows, stools, and bungee chairs. Many of my students are not able to sit in a chair at a desk for long periods of time. These options will give them more choices and them more comfortable while they are learning. Since my student will be able to move and wiggle in the seating I have selected, they will stay more focused and cause less distractions in my classroom. I would like these seating options to keep their minds and bodies attentive and engaged throughout the day! Since I do not have the resources to provide them on my own as a first year teacher, I am hoping this fund will help me provide what I have not been able to for my kids!
