My students are kindergartners and love to learn. Kindergarten is the year of "firsts." First tooth lost, first time away from home all day, and for many the first exposure to books. There is a high rate of poverty in our school district which put these students at risk. Reading is such an important part of education and any support and supplementation in reading would enhance our students' performances.
