The materials requested will be used to make tie blankets to be donated to the police department, first response teams, and fire department. The blankets will then be handed out by these community agencies to comfort people in their time of need. Our middle school is always looking for ways to give back to the community and the making and giving of blankets will provide comfort to community members who are in a moment of crisis. We have taken every student in the school and assigned them to a cabin with a staff/adult leader. This project will be completed during our weekly cabin time. Each cabin will make two blankets to be given to different community agencies to be handed out as the need arises. The making of these blankets will provide students with an opportunity to feel good about giving back to their community.

About my class
