My students desire more quality science activities. They show a strong interest in learning more about the world around them and how it works. They desire the materials to create and test new ideas in the world around them. This age group has a strong curiosity and desire for hands on learning. They love science and I want to provide them with a quality learning experience with engaging teaching materials. The cross-section Earth Model will be used in our Earth Science unit a to give my hands on learners the ability to interact with something that, as of now, we only have a picture to refer to. The Erupting Volcano will be used as a culminating demonstration activity to help my students answer the questions "How does a Volcano erupt?" and "What does the magma look like?" The maze and marble kits from AKJ Education, will allow my students to experiment with Physics and Engineering by giving them quality sets that can be reused and take up less classroom space than cardboard tubes. The kits will be stored in the plastic tubs. These kits would allow students to create, explore, and test ideas in a way that encourages their natural curiosity. I am excited to see their minds grow as they interact with new materials designed for 21st century learners.
