About my class

I am requesting a large carpet to be used for our class meetings and read aloud time. I currently have a class of second graders who are very busy and eager to move. Sometimes it is hard for our little learners to sit still for a long period of time, especially in a small space. By donating to our project, you will be enabling us to spend quality time together, and build a classroom community on a carpet space that is big and comfortable for all of our busy learners. Our class meeting time is very important to us. We love the feel of a family environment in our classroom where we can check in on each other and get to learn about one and other better. A large, spacious carpet will make our learning environment a much more comfortable place. I will be able to bring my students together daily and promote positive interactions between my students. I will also be able to read them a story daily which will increase their vocabulary and literacy skills. My students cherish learning together. This project will help us tremendously in creating a environment in which we can learn comfortably together!
