Distance learning for kindergarten is rough! My students have been trying for weeks now and only a few are really enjoying it. Many of my students are starting to lose interest in online learning because it lacks the use of manipulatives and creativity that they are so accustomed to within a classroom setting. My students love to create fun, imaginative stories by using their own invented spellings and knowledge of sight words. By Spring, my students can write several sentences, even a paragraph, on their own! However, it has been hard to keep their interest in learning sight words and alphabet letter names/sounds through distance learning. Many of my students' families do not have the resources to find or create reading manipulatives for their child. Please help me send a First Words Kit and a Lady Bug Letters Kit to each of my students so they can have fun building their puzzles while at the same time learning their sight words and Alphabet Letters. Please help bring back the joy of learning!
