I have 25 kindergarten students in my California public school. 65% are English Language Learners, and all students are from low socio-economic and educational levels. My students need intense vocabulary development and I focus on language development in all of our curriculum. Students respond with enthusiasm and success as I strive to make the classroom experiences "hands-on." Their parents are an integral part of the teaching/learning team. They are faithful volunteers and and average of 85% of our parents attend monthly learning meetings with their child by their side in each classroom. I strive to develop literacy and math skills in all academic areas, as well as inspire creativity, confidence and fluency in English Language development.

About my class
