The children will be more comfortable sitting with their friends, working on daily task. At this age children are building their self-esteem. Everyone will be sitting in the same type of chair. This will help them feel that they are not sitting in what they call a "baby chair". Having age appropriate seating will also make the children feel equal to their peers. Children who feel physically uncomfortable and insecure interferes with daily tasks. When they are trying to eat in an inappropriate chair their chin is at table level. New chairs will enhance the classroom by making it look more age appropriate.
