Flexible seating will allow my students to choose a seating option that best fits their needs during classroom instruction. Students currently either sit in chairs or stand during activities or instruction time. However, sitting in chairs all day is not conducive to my 8th graders' learning. Allowing them to choose a stability ball to sit on or a desk with fidget bands will allow them to feel more comfortable in the class and motivate them in the classroom. Just like with adults, my eighth graders thrive when they are given a choice. These products that I have chosen will allow my students to make a choice that best benefits them as learners in our math classroom. The stability balls are the perfect height for my teenage students to use in the classroom. The students love using them as an alternative to a straight back chair or standing. The wiggle bands are beneficial for students who just need to get out some extra energy in the classroom. I would like to give my students an opportunity to make a comfortable seating choice so they can better focus on our Algebra material!
