Decision Day is our chance to celebrate all the hard work of all our student, those accepting admissions to a 4 year institution, enrolling in community college in order to transfer or complete vocational education, and those serving in the military. My students have put countless house into drafting a post-secondary plan that will get them to their goal. They have done all-nighters and sacrificed valuable time to searching colleges while maintain their senior classes. Most of my students have overcome obstacles throughout their road to college and now is the time to celebrate the positive life decisions they are making. While most students are having fun shopping for their dorm rooms and college supplies, many of my students are currently worrying they can't afford to make an admission or housing deposit payments which ranges from $150 to $300 dollars each. Despite their academic achieves, this lack of funds too often means the difference between them attending and not attending college. The technology items I am kindly looking for support would be a great item to raffle during our event. Providing them basic items like a laptop, printer, and e-readers would provide the student a foundation in their higher education. These items would assure the student have complete access to the internet and resources to work on college assignments with spending alot of money on books.
