We use whiteboards on a daily basis in my reading intervention classes. We use them to code and study their decodable reading words, practice spelling sight words, and for spelling dictation. The students prefer these whiteboards over paper and pencil any day! However, there are some drawbacks to whiteboards. The markers dry out very quickly, and the boards get dingy with repeated use. I know my students would greatly enjoy doing their word study and spelling practice with the LCD tablets. My students would be even more motivated to participate and practice. Technology is a big part of their world, and these boogie boards would be the perfect way to provide them with the guided practice they need.
