Our first Kindle is just the beginning. The school's library subscribes to a website that will loan us e-books to get started. As interest in reading grows, my students will become a community of voracious readers. How can one Kindle make a difference? Anything new creates excitement. I will use that excitement to create a stronger community of readers in my classroom. I could just download free e-readers on my laptops in my classroom, but students are not allowed to take those laptops home. Students need a device that they can use at home to read as well as at school. Real change in any individual's reading habits requires them to read outside of the school day. Please help me bring bring up-to-date technology to my classroom and create a community of voracious readers.
