Currently, my students struggle with the ability to independently log themselves on for computer time. During computer time, my students are expected to work on educational games/programs to enhance what they have learned during small group. My students have been identified with having cognitive, academic, motor, and language disabilities. Because of these disabilities, most of them struggle navigating through a computer; logging in, selecting the internet browser, typing in a web address, etc. Although I love to assist my students, this need pulls away from my already restricted time with each of my small groups. The support of easy assessible tablets would decrease the need for support during computer time and increase the amount of instructional time!
