Class of 2018 Decision Day is an event to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating seniors who have plans to enroll in college, enlist in the military, or go straight into the work force after graduation. This event is a part of former First-Lady Michelle Obama's College Signing Day Initiative from her organization Better Make Room. This event is meant to propagate the college-going-culture at my school that I have built throughout this year by helping students plan their educational futures. This event will take place during the school day so that all seniors who have indicated that they are enrolling in college, enlisting in the military, or have a job lined up after high school can attend. As a part of this project, there are decorations to make the space feel festive, candy and food to create a festive environment, and plates, napkins and cups to make the event functional. I want my seniors to know that I am so proud of them. There will be various activities such as a College Alumni Panel, a photo booth, and games. The school has limited funding to provide for this event since we are a public school in North Carolina, which is why I am dependent on donations and things like Donor's Choose!
