I would love for my students to focus more on their learning rather than worry about how difficult it is for them to focus throughout the day. With these flexible seating options, my students will be able to move freely while they are working. The students will have a sense of ownership in my classroom and will have the ability to move throughout the day. The students will use each of these seating options to become agents of their own learning and minimize distractions throughout the day. I want students to feel safe and comfortable while they are learning and creating lifelong friendships in my classroom. I work with students who have various needs and I would like to meet those needs through flexible seating. In order to allow my students to work freely at their tables, I would like to implement the kneeling mats and throw pillows so they will be comfortable while sitting at a lowered table. The bistro set will provide students with the opportunity to work with a partner or in a cozy area of the classroom with a table for support. I would like to use the donut ball for students who need a safe space in the classroom or for a fun place to read or write during the day. The plastic stack stools will be used for students to sit at my small group table so I can work on meeting their needs.
