I am asking for new dramatic play furniture. Our current furniture has been very well loved by students in the past. Dramatic Play is one of the major areas in our classroom. This is where students learn to engage with their peers taking on various sociodramatic roles. When a child engages in pretend play, they are actively experimenting with the social and emotional roles of life. When a child takes on a pretend role, they are placing themselves in someone else's shoes. Students enjoy playing the role of mommy, daddy, teacher, doctor, and police officer which helps teach moral development skills.
