This project includes numerous graphic novels and sports related books to appeal to my male students. Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants, Shredderman, and Matt Christopher books will help update my classroom library and allow me to help even my most reluctant male readers find the love of reading. Funding this project will help the boys of my current 3rd grade class and future classes get off the mile-long school library wait list for these popular titles and get engaging books in their hands more quickerly. There is nothing more enjoyable than watching students find the joy of reading, especially ones who are hesitant to read in the first place.
