We have a wonderful school with a colorful and diverse student population. As we are not eligible for Title 1 funding, our resources have dried up. We are in the netherworld of education, too successful to be seen as underperforming, not poor "enough" to qualify for funding from the federal grant programs, and in a school district with severe cutbacks. Needed upgrades and simply having basic supplies is no longer possible. Our students are losing out.
