Wordly Wise is a holistic vocabulary development program for middle school students. Students are able to become familiar with unknown words by completing practice exercises. Next, they apply the word meanings in context. Lastly, they complete a comprehension component using the words the students have studied and learned. This will help them see that they are learning the words effectively and improving their comprehension. Confidence as a reader is essential for improving reading skills. Vocabulary is a very important skill to develop for our young readers. Currently, our students have a limited vocabulary bank. It will enhance their confidence, so that they can see their reading potential and become strong readers.
