I teach 7th and 8th grade, year long classes. I get to see my kiddos every single day for the entire school year which is pretty exciting. The first semester I focus on fundamentals, skills, techniques, vocabulary, etc. so that by the second semester my classroom is able to function as a fully choice based classroom. I continue to introduce new concepts, ideas, techniques, skills, etc. through mini-lessons to my students and they are able to incorporate them into their projects as they see fit for themselves. No student is ever doing the same thing as in another in my classroom. It adds to the excitement of the day and generates a more genuine learning experience for my students.

About my class
