I am requesting two Chromebooks because I believe it will assist my students in improving their reading and writing skills. They will have the opportunity to gain access to dozens of free books and other digital academic resources. These Chromebooks will help them complete their writing assignments as well as correct and edit their work. Many times students come to therapy room for extra help with writing assignments or research and unfortunately they have to wait for their turn to use my desktop because another student is using it. Most of my students come from low socio-economic backgrounds where they have no access to computers or a WiFi. My students and I are in desperate need of these Chromebooks because it’s going to help them complete their assignments on time and be able to achieve their Speech-Language goals as well as increase their typing speed. It is a valuable learning tool and will lead the way for innovative learning in my therapy room.
