I have been working to make it a place where each student feels comfortable, safe and engages in their learning experience. Each of my students has their own style or learning and individual needs. Flexible seating options would allow my students to a greater sense of autonomy and ownership over their learning. Freedom to choose the workspace that is best for them (desks, bean bags, tables, rugs, etc.) provides students with a sense of control and comfort, whether working independently or in collaborative groups. I have noticed when my students are given more choices and a greater sense of control in their learning they are exponentially more engaged and motivated in their studies and behavior issues decrease significantly. The products I have selected will help create a space that fosters a meaningful learning experience and provide each of my students with the resources they they need to reach their full potentials.
