Using Google Expeditions, my students can go on virtual field trips all over the world. It even gives the ability to explore worlds that cannot be accessed in the real world, such as taking a trip with your blood cells through your heart, or an underwater trip with a whale migration. This technology will allow students that have never been outside of this immediate area an opportunity to experience new places. In class there is no real substitute for the experience that these kids can get with these virtual reality headsets, short of taking them on every field trip in the world. This will actually bring the world into my classroom.
