Every child has a voice and the right to be able to communicate their voices at school. Sometimes that voice is not only verbal, but also visual through pictures. Having a colored printer with the accompanying ink allows me to create these picture cards for them. Velcro will allow the students to use the cards in a communication book in a functional way and adhere the pictures to a binder to teach them core vocabulary words. Being able to provide my students with communication cards will let me help them find their voices in whatever form that may be. They will be able to use these cards in the classroom to answer the teacher’s questions, participate in class discussions, and interact with their peers and others.
