The materials and supplies that I am requesting will ensure that students are engaging in high-quality learning while I am teaching small groups of students to read. In order for me to provide effective small group instruction, it is important that other students work independently. It is also important that the students are learning from the independent work activities. I have chosen the specific materials through analyzing the learning and engagement provided by each product. The Phonics Magnetic Word Building Boards will improve student learning of short vowels, long vowel patterns, blends and digraphs. It also allows for differentiation according to student ability. The Sequence and Write will assist students in using temporal words and story ideas during independent writing. With the materials that I am requesting, I can rotate independent work activities throughout the year to provide differentiated, exciting educational experiences for each student all year!
