My students are fantastic. Living in the city, they are extremely diverse and come from places all over the world. Many of them are speaking English as a Second Language. There are over 40 languages spoken in our school. This can be quite a barrier to learning in the classroom. Many of the students in my class are coming from low income families and do not have resources at home to support their education. Students may face obstacles that are extremely challenging and make coming to school and learning each day that much more difficult. Despite these challenges, the students in my class are enthusiastic and eager to learn. Although many of them face struggles that have prevented them from building a strong foundation in education, they are excited and involved in the classroom and they show a strong will to learn. I want nothing more than to give them the best school experience possible.
