LEGOs help build, imagination, develop fine motor skills, promote perseverance, encourage problem-solving, and promote teamwork. In the library, LEGOs will be used for story centers, free exploration at recess, and for classes to experience structure in stories. We will do this using stop motion animation, oral retelling, and sculpture. We also will establish a LEGO building club for students in grades 3-5. Your donation will help students explore storytelling, build performance skills, and set children free to build their dreams in the library. They will be able to take storytelling and problem solving to new heights with those tiny bricks we call LEGOs.
