During our Summer Enrichment Sewing Class, beginning sewers will learn the basics of using a sewing machine. To start, we will make some smaller projects using scraps of fabric and gently used materials. As students become more comfortable and proficient, they will work in small groups to make baby quilts that will be donated at the end of the class. In addition to learning how to use a sewing machine, students will learn and apply a variety of math skills, collaborate with a group, and give back to those in need. For this project, we'll need beginner's sewing machines, fabric, thread, and various quilting tools. With these materials, my students will learn valuable life skills while having fun! Thank you so much for considering our project!
