We are asking for donors to donate tissue and hand sanitizer. These are basic necessities to keep our hard working children healthy throughout the upcoming school year. The teachers in our building are given little money per year to purchase supplies for their classrooms and may teach up to 180 students per day. They use their budgets for paper, pencils, markers, etc. There is never enough left over for tissue so students are either forced to use brown paper towels from the bathroom, or teachers purchase tissue out of their own pockets. Teachers spend an average of $500 on their classrooms each school year. Tissue and hand sanitizer will benefit students by keeping them healthy and in the classroom for learning.
