I would love to be able to fill my classroom with these types of resources so that my students are able to reach their full potential. Our sensory room is a shared space with only a trampoline and a few yoga balls. This area could be a wonderful resource and safe space for my students to calm down, regroup, and prepare to reenter our classroom. We would be so lucky to have any of these resources, and I am so excited for the potential help that they would bring! It would be wonderful to have a soft and cushy floor for the sensory room. The “Sivan Health and Fitness Puzzle Exercise Mats” would help our room (with very hard floors) be way safer for my students. The “HearTek Kids Earmuff” noise cancelling headphones will help out my students who are sensitive to loud noises. We have a few yoga balls in our room already, but the handles on the “Space Hopper Balls” will allow for safer bouncing to relieve some sensory struggles. Items like the “Art 3D Liquid Dance Floor” tiles, “LED Calming Autism Sensory Light Projector,” “Sensory Slap Fidget Bracelet,” “KeNeer 7 pack Stretchy String Fidget,” and “Spiky Sensory Ring Fidget Toy” will be key to our calm down area. Out of everything, though, I am the most excited for the “Driftsun Hammock Pod,” the “ECR4Kids Gaming Rocker,” and the “Abilitations Inflatable Pea Pod!” These will create a perfect vestibular input for my students who desperately crave that type of sensation and help them relax and feel safe. All of the products in my list were carefully chosen with my specific students in mind and will hopefully benefit this classroom for years to come.
